Vivian Ruby Sumerfelt

Vivian Ruby (Ligneel) Sumerfelt was born on August 10, 1926, in Minneota, to Prosper and Edna (Hoverson) Ligneel. She grew up in Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School. On January 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to Edmund Sumerfelt. The couple farmed and raised their family in rural Minneota. Vivian enjoyed farming and was a lover of animals. She was most passionate about her family. The couple moved to Hill Street Place in Marshall in 2012. In 2014, Vivian moved to the Minneota Manor. She died there on Monday, July 11, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Carol Sumerfelt of Minneapolis, son Larry (and Lisa) of Minneota, son Steven (and Darlene) of Allen, TX, grandchildren Kristopher, Craig and Andrea, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund, grandson Joshua and brother Harvey.
