Steven Rodney Morgan of Marshall, passed away peacefully at the Prairie Home Hospice McLaughlin House on October 24th after a battle with Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare form of Alzheimer’s disease. Steve was born on July 24, 1951, in Marshall to Irene and Rodney Morgan and raised on a farm near Dudley, MN. Steve graduated from Marshall Senior High in 1969 and attended Granite Falls Technical College for Accounting. Steve married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Mary Clark in 1971. Steve started his career at Schwan’s Sales Enterprises in 1973 and retired from Schwan’s after 43 years of service. Steve and Mary gave birth to their children Jeremy in 1974 and Nichole 1976. Steve enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, golf and league bowling. He was also an outdoorsman who took pleasure in hunting, fishing, and camping. Above all, Steve was a family man. A man of few words, he let his love and dedication towards friends and family speak for him. Words aren’t enough. He was always our rock and we will miss him dearly. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Rodney Morgan, mother and father-in-law Jean and Joseph Clark, sister and brother-in-law Virginia and David Louwagie and nephew Norman Louwagie. Steve was survived by his wife Mary of Marshall, son Jeremy of Marshall, daughter Nichole and husband Paul Moen of Rice, grandchildren Mackenzie, Ashley, Aubrey and Deacon, sister Lee (Greg LeBaron) of Prescott, AZ, brother Thomas (Jeri Jenkins) of St. Louis Park and many nieces and nephews and many life-long friends. Steve’s family would especially like to thank the staff at Prairie Home Fieldcrest Assistant Living in Cottonwood for all their care and help.
