Sandra Marie Bousquet Altman slipped on her ballet shoes and tiptoed away in her sleep on February 14, 2022, and is rejoicing with our Lord and Savior. Sandra was born on May 25, 1946, and was adopted from the Children’s Home Society in St. Paul by Carl and Helen Peterson of Marshall. Growing up she was involved in modeling, dance, gymnastics, dance, art, drama, sewing, and the culinary arts. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1964 and was proud to be the very first Marshall Tiger mascot. Upon graduation she attended the beauty academy in Minneapolis. Her pursuits changed when she decided to enter the hospitality industry, specifically the culinary arts, catering, and sales. Sandra traveled the country pursuing her passion which included positions at Snee Farm Country Club Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, New York City Athletic Club, the Atlanta Stadium Hotel, and Sincerely’s (an intimate 10 table fine dining experience) Florance, South Carolina. Locally, Sandra held the title of Catering Manager at the Marshall Country Club, while she pursued her Culinary Arts degree at Southwest Minnesota State University. Sandra served as a member of the Marshall Cable Commission, as well as hosting a local access interview show called “Senior Citizen Signals” which highlighted local members of the senior community. Sandra adopted a daughter Yvette Shawn Bousquet Altman in 1975. She married Mark Lawrence Altman on September 17, 1983. They moved to Marshall from Indiana in 1986. Her extended family includes two sons Jeff Altman and Ryan Altman, as well as seven grandchildren Abbagaile, Annabelle, Wyatt, Cobe, Chatney, Jett, and Asher. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard (Dickie) Peterson. She is also survived by her husband Mark Lawrence Altman and her brother Dennis Carl Peterson.
