Russell (Russ) Harold Seeklander

Russell Harold Seeklander was born on August 25, 1950, in Brookings, SD, to Harold and Margaret (Schmidt) Seeklander. Russ grew up in rural Estelline and graduated from Estelline High School. He was married to Pat Hegstad in Slayton, MN. He worked his whole life in the elevator business, the last 30 years were in Marshall. Russ loved to garden and enjoyed the farmers market. Russ died on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. He is survived by Lucy Hefti of Marshall, her children Doris (and Bruce,) Amy (and Lee,) siblings Ron (and Gail) Seeklander of Bruce, SD, Marlene Seeklander of Watertown, SD, brother-in-law Mike (and Jan) Hegstad of Poway, CA, Niece Ashley Seeklander and nephews Adam Seeklander, Thomas Hegstad and Ryan Hegstad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Seeklander, parents Harold and Margaret Seeklander, in-laws Minver and Delrose Hegstad and nephew Nathan Seeklander.
