Randolph "Randy" Lynn Parde

Marshall, MN

Randolph Lynn Parde was born on October 3, 1946 to Heye and Grace (Crum) Parde in Auburn, NE. He was raised in Auburn, NE graduating from Auburn High School in the spring of 1964. Randy then continued his education at Peru University in Nebraska. 
 

After completing his education Randy began his career managing Woolworth retail stores. It was this career that brought him to Marshall, MN in the early 1970’s. After managing the Woolworth store in Marshall for some time Randy made a career change and opened the Season’s Gallery in Marshall, which he owned and operated for more than forty years. 

Randy had a passion for Hot Rod’s and Classic Cars, especially his 1936 Ford Roadster. He was charter member of the Shades of the Past Car Club in Marshall, MN. He was always up for taking a road trip with his friends and wife Jan. 

Randy’s family and friends were important to him. His son John and daughter Carrie were the lights of his life. Randy always made a point of getting together with his brothers and sisters in Nebraska as well as his car friends in Watertown, SD and Paynesville, MN. 

Randy passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2023 surrounded by his family. 

He is survived by his wife Jan Parde; children John (Nancy) Parde, Carrie Bladhom (Travis Madden); siblings Marilyn (Lonnie) Swanson, Carolyn (Mike) Harvill, Darryl (Barb) Parde, Bill (Wendy) Parde; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Heye and Grace Parde; and aunt Mary Herbert.
