Peemon Herr

Peemon Herr passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at her home in Tracy, Minnesota after years of battling cancer. Peemon was born on November 23, 1971, in the City of Pua, Nun in Thailand to Wichian and Pra (Thao) Yangsaeng. She came to Christ and got baptized in 1985. After graduating high school in 1989, she moved to Chang Mai to help her sister babysit. In 1992, Peemon moved to Chiang Rai to work at a nonprofit orphanage called Happy Home. In 1993, she moved back to Chiang Mai to continue with her studies and graduated with an associate’s degree in computer programming in 1996. Throughout her time in Chiang Mai, she worked and served with Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) missionaries as their secretary. While serving the Lord, she met her husband Rev. Jong Xiong Herr and got married on April 25, 1996. In October 1996, she immigrated to Kansas City, Kansas and later moved to Michigan in 1997 and gave birth to her daughter Selena. In December 2000, her family was called by the Lord to serve in Tracy, Minnesota, to what is now the Agape Hmong Alliance Church. While going back to school in 2002, she gave birth to her son Joshua. Peemon started translating for the Hmong community in Southwest Minnesota and after graduating with her LPN. In 2004, she started working for Tracy Sanford as a Wellness Interpreter until she passed. Peemon dedicated and loved her time at Tracy Sanford, and was honored with the employee of the year award in 2010. Her greatest loves were reading the Bible, singing Hymns, holding conversations with people, her job, playing sports and being with family. She always brought joy to the room, had something wise to say, and encouraged others. Peemon is survived by her father Wichian, husband Jong Xiong Herr, daughter Selena, son Joshua, sister Sophawadee (Tracy), other sisters, brothers, many nieces and nephews in Thailand. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pra.
