Patricia âPattyâ Rose Moore passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.
Patty was born to Robert and Bernadette (Schroer) Moore on September 5, 1952, in Tracy. She grew up on the family farm on the north side of Lake Sarah. She was baptized and confirmed at Garvin Congregational Church, a church community she remained very close to throughout her life.
Patty attended Worthington Crippled Childrenâs School for a time until public schools began offering appropriate Special Education. Teachers, such as Anna Gene Burke at Tracy Public Schools, became very dear to her. After completing her education at Tracy Public Schools, Patty moved to Marshall, MN where she lived in several REM and HSI residential facilities. REM and HSI staff and clients were like a second family to her. She worked at many employment opportunities made possible through SEI and Canby DAC. Camp Courage, Camp Friendship, and Shetek Lutheran Ministries SOS Camp all gave Patty fond and memorable experiences in the outdoors.
A kind and caring heart is what defined Pattyâs life. She also had an amazing memory, especially for birthdays and anniversaries. She enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. She loved music, puzzles, and word find books. Cheesy potatoes, Orange Crush, and Chicken in a Biskit crackers were among her favorite foods.
Patty is survived by her four siblings: Dennis (Karen) Moore of Redwood Falls, MN; Don of Lumberton, TX; Elaine (Gary) Kass of Balaton, MN; and Mary (Greg) Deutz of Marshall, MNâand many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her parents and her brother, Larry, preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Garvin Congregational Church, Garvin, MN.
