Patricia Rae Hissam

Patricia Rae (Brackey) Hissam was born on April 22, 1950, in Albert Lea, MN, to Marvin and Thelma (Askildson) Brackey. She loved her family and spending time with them. She always was interested in what they were doing. Patricia especially enjoyed time together camping, sitting by the fire, and fishing if the fish were biting. She wanted to keep her mind sharp, so she did lots of crossword puzzles. Patricia was great at finding deals while shopping and at garage sales. She was an excellent cook, and she liked trying new cookbooks, especially if they had pictures. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows and movies. Patricia worked for 12 years as a supervisor for Heartland Foods and Jennie-O in Marshall.

Patricia died unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, March 14, 2026. She is survived by her husband David Hissam of Marshall; children Cindy (Todd) Bird of Gladbrook, IA, Cory Day (Cindy Stahl) of Austin, and Frederick Day (Angie Nelson) of Minneota; grandchildren Hali (Brian) Daters of Marshalltown, IA, Cobren Bird (Sadies Macias) of Altoona, IA, Mason (Cherly) Nelson of Willmar, and Mckaylin Day of Minneota; great-grandchildren Braelyn Daters, Kaidree Daters, Dax Daters, and Zion Nelson; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
