Mary Ellen Enga Westphal

Mary Ellen (Enga) Westphal was born on March 4, 1941, in Marshall, MN, to Aksel and Emma (Nelson) Enga. She grew up in Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School. Mary worked as a cook at various establishments in Marshall. Later, she worked in retail with many years at K-Mart and then Shopko. She looked forward to her daily coffee and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and other games. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her daughter. Mary was most passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary died on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She is survived by her daughter, Cindi Westphal, of Lynd, son Loren (and Nancy) Westphal of Lynd, grandchildren Samantha (and Mitch) Holm of Balaton and Ben Westphal (fiancé Brianna Briggs) of Balaton, brother Rodney (and Donna) Enga and in-laws Allie Enga, Wayne Fehrman and Eleanor Enga. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
