Mary Bennett

Mary Kathleen Bennett was born September 2, 1951 to Lawrence and Dorothy Marco in Worthington, MN. We lost our dearly loved Mary on May 18, 2007 at the Mortan Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL, after a valiant battle with Scleroderma. Mary was a graduate of St. Adrian Catholic School in 1969 and continued her education in Psychology and Sociology at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA, where she earned her Masters Degree. Mary married Patrick J. Bennett on August 26, 1977. During their 29 years of marriage they lived, worked, and shared in Sioux City, IA, Omaha, NE, Springfield, MO, and eventually in 1999 moved to Largo, FL, where she worked as the Program Manager for Coordinated Child Care of Pinellas Inc. Mary was a completely beautiful person inside and out. Mary enjoyed spending time with family especially her many nieces and nephews and her special cat Maggie. Mary loved traveling, quilting, fishing, biking, and walking along the beach. She had devoted her life to working with people. Mary left behind her beloved husband Patrick, her father Lawrence Marco of Clarkfield, MN, her brother David Marco of Nixa, MO, her sisters Sue (Lon) Thonvold of Willmar, MN, and Amy (Jim) Illies of Ghent, MN and sister-in-law Kay Signorelli of California, along with 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Marco and her grandparents. A private Memorial Service will be held for her. Mary will be laid to rest at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery in Marshall, MN. The family invites anyone who wishes to remember Mary with a memorial / donation to the Scleroderma Foundation.
