Mary Ann Boice, formerly Mary Ann Pavolasky, was the third daughter of Frank and Mary Pavolasky (Galina). She is preceded in death by Father and Mother along with her eldest sister Connie Stuart and Brother-in-Law Fred Stuart. She leaves Russel, love of her life and husband of 45 years, her sister Darla McCoy(Don), and 4 children Sarah Dismuke(Christiaan), Rachael Garcia(Jimmy), Jacob Boice, and Adam Boice. She also leaves 3 grandchildren Jonah, Jeremiah and Rebekah, and 1 granddog, Lenny. Though she is legally the mother of only 4 children, she has had significant impacts on many many children and adults throughout her life. She informally “adopted” dozens of children and adults alike, helping them in any way she could. She led many to Jesus, helped them with food, shelter, education, and kindness. Mary Ann could not help but give everything she could to nurture (and spoil) any child she could.

Mary Ann put her love of helping first in her career. She studied education, obtaining her bachelors from CSU- Pueblo in 1980 and continued to further her education throughout her career. Mary Ann taught all ages from kindergarten to adults but her very favorite group was middle schoolers. She loved working with the most at-risk because she found that they needed and appreciated her the most. She often claimed these individuals were “her people”. She was an award winning GED teacher helping over 300 adults obtain their diplomas. Her love of helping others did not stop in the classroom. Mary Ann managed a truck stop for 5 years - still loving the smell of diesel from her daddy’s trucking days, waited tables and did other odd jobs helping anyone she could along the way while she raised her 4 children. She is famous for evangelizing and going the extra mile to get anyone she could to church. She rarely missed a Sunday and enjoyed being a guest at every church she could attend.

Mary Ann loved life. She loved to travel more than anyone. Her fear of flying never got in her way. She rode greyhounds, fairyboats, trains, and any other vehicle that could get her somewhere. She took anyone she could with her and loved remembering all her travels with her mother. She loved traveling with friends and showing her children and all their friends the USA. Her favorite places to visit were Branson, MO, Nashville, TN, Minneapolis, MN and anywhere with an ocean. She loved old country music, good food, and above all shopping! We know she’s up there in a purple sequin dress, size 12, high heels, dancing with two of her favorite men - Jesus and Elvis. (Sorry Russ, you will have to wait your turn).
