Marjorie DeSchepper

d. July 24, 2015

Marjorie Ann (Connell) DeSchepper was born on January 25, 1939, on the family farm in Clifton Township to Herbert and Gretchen (Barby) Connell. She grew up and graduated from Marshall High School. Before she was married, Marjorie worked as a secretary for Marshall Municipal Utilities. On November 21, 1959, she was united in marriage to Leonard DeSchepper at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. In addition to being a full time homemaker, Marjorie helped on her family farm during the 1960s. She later began bookkeeping for the family filling station. Marjorie enjoyed singing and sang with the “Sweet Adelines.” She also enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing and snow mobiling and was known for fantastic shore lunches. She was most passionate about her family. First, her husband and boys, and later including her daughter-in-law, grandchildren and all of the family activities. Marjorie died on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall due to health complications caused by a prolonged battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, of Marshall, sons Jeffrey of Marshall and Brian (and Dawn) of Marshall, grandchildren Ethan and Emily DeSchepper, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
