A private family funeral service and interment for Mable Andres, 95, of Cottonwood, formerly of Marshall, was held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall. She passed away November 26, 2020 at Prairie Home Hospice Field Crest Assisted Living in Cottonwood Mable Clara (Schultz) Andres was born June 17, 1925 in Amiret, MN. She was the daughter of Leopold and Minnie (Krueger) Schultz. The family later moved to Dudley, and then to the Wood Lake area near School Grove Lake. Mable was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Cottonwood and attended country school. Mable enjoyed time with her brothers and sisters working hard on the farm, especially taking care of the chickens. She later moved to Marshall, living with her sister on Main Street, and working at Swift Turkey Processing. Mable then met and later married the man of her life, Cletus on September 28, 1948, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where she became a member for over seventy years. Mable was a member of the VFW, Legion Auxiliary and card club. The couple made their home just outside of Marshall, where Mable was a stay-at-home Mom, raising six children. Mable was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother first and foremost, and later worked as a cook at Holy Redeemer Catholic school, and Marshall High school. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, camping, and going to the lake at her son's place. Mable later traveled with her husband in the winter to Donna, TX for fourteen years, enjoying friends and playing dominos, which she played up until her death, with her family. She is survived by her children, James (and Sandy) of Sunburg, Barry (and Nancy), Robert (and Deb) both of Marshall, Timothy (and Julie) of Spicer, and Rocky of Lakeville, son-in-law Greg Koob of Avon, sister Violet (and Jerry) Zelemak; grandchildren Heidi (Ted Duker) Steele, Jesse (Nikki) Andres, Danielle (fiancé Mike Durland) Andres, Ryan Andres, Jennifer (Nathan) Gratz, Justin Andres, Jessica (significant other Jessie Saravia) Andres, and Tori Andres; great-grandchildren Sammy, Addison, Cloe, Rylee, Brayden, Carter, and Evelyn. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Cletus, daughter Jeanne Andres-Koob, parents Leopold and Minnie Schultz, brothers Leo and Leonard, and sisters Freida Hanson and Laurina Gregg. Mable was a great daughter, loving wife, hard working women, great mother, role model for her grandchildren, and loving great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all, but welcomed in heaven. We love you! A celebration of life to be held this spring due to Covid.
