Louise Catherine “Honey” VanDeVeire was born on September 15, 1931, to Theophil and Elizabeth Mary (DeBussher) VanDeVeire in rural Lyon County. She was baptized at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and received First Communion and Confirmation from St. Peter Catholic Church in Canby. Louise attended Rural School District 32. She enjoyed listening to country music, reading, cooking, coloring, and spending time with her son, Rob and granddaughter Sierra. After a brief illness, Louise died unexpectedly on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Honey is survived by her son, Rob VanDeVeire of Marshall, grandchildren Jeremie, Nicholas and Sierra, brother Maurice VanDeVeire of Minnetonka, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and eight sisters.
