Linda Lea Petit

The memorial service for Linda Petit, 78, of Tracy, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Tracy United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at the Tracy Cemetery.

Linda Lea (Langland) Petit was born on April 5, 1943, in Slayton, MN, to John and Myrtle (Marsh) Langland. She grew up and attended school in Slayton. On September 1, 1961, she was united in marriage to Dallas Petit. The couple lived in Slayton, then Herman, before moving to Tracy in 1967. Linda was a hard worker. She did cleaning at the Tracy Hospital, Methodist Church and Post Office. She also volunteered at the Senior Center, for Boy Scouts and for the Red Cross Blood Drive. Linda was a very caring and affectionate person. She enjoyed stamping and spending time with her friends and family. She had lived at the Prairie View Healthcare Center for several years while she struggled with dementia. Recently she moved to the Franklin Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Franklin, MN. She died there on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
Linda is survived by her sons John (and Joy), Wayne, and Jerry; grandchildren John Jr., Michelle (and David) Vang, Daryl and Aaron; great-grandchildren Ayden, Jake, Christian, Auron and Hailey; brother Philip (and Rose) Langland, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dallas, sister Irene Worden and brother Donald Langland.
