Lennard Allan Nydell

Mass of Christian Burial for Lennard Nydell, 76, of Tracy, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church with a CCW Rosary at 12:00 p.m. noon. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy. Lennard Allan Nydell was born on October 12, 1942, the second child to Pinky and Louise Nydell in Tracy. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. He graduated from Tracy High School in 1960 and then served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. On February 2, 1963, he married the love of his life, Colene Frechette. After his service, he worked in the electrical field until he became the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor at City of Hope Medical Center in California until his retirement. The couple returned to Tracy in 2008. Lennard was a talented craftsman. He could fix or create just about anything. He was a devout practicing Catholic. Lennard’s goal in life was to make others feel good and to make them laugh. Lennard died on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Our House of Murray County in Slayton, MN. He is survived by his wife, Colene, his sons Joseph of San Jacinto, CA, John of Ponca City, OK, and Steven (and Karla) of Los Angeles, CA. Also survived by grandchildren Brian Nydell and Jennifer Nydell, great-grandchildren Andrew, Athenia, Luke, Alexis and Skylar, his sister Elaine (and Tom) Ogden and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Holger “Pinky” Nydell and Louise (Regnier) Nydell and several aunts and uncles. Lennard’s energetic personality, love of life and making people laugh will be greatly missed by all of us. Blessed Be His Memory.
