Lee Jerome Graczyk

Lee J. Graczyk, age 70, died peacefully on February 3, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele VanOverbeke, and daughter Hannah Graczyk. He was preceded in death by parents, Jerome and Dorothy Graczyk. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb 12, 2023, at Kozlak Radulovich Funeral Chapels: 13745 Reimer Dr N, Maple Grove, MN 55311. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Interment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb 13, 2023. 

Lee Jerome Graczyk was born on January 24, 1953, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Jerome and Dorothy (Gardner) Graczyk.  He graduated from Columbia Heights High School in 1971.  He started college at St. Cloud State and later received his degree from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Lee was always interested in politics and worked on many campaigns over the years.  Some of Lee's careers included the Minnesota Gambling Commission and the Senior Federation.  His last career was creating the nonprofit, Mature Voices.  

Lee and Michele married on May 19, 2009, at the church of St. Peter Claver, St. Paul, Minnesota.  Lee enjoyed traveling in the states and abroad, especially his travels to Ireland.  Lee enjoyed watching and identifying the many varieties of birds that came to eat at his feeders.  His daughter Hannah, gave him a gift of a bonsai tree, which became a passion that he shared with her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a Meals on Wheels program or charity of donor's choice.
