Kory Kristopher Salhus

Kory Kristopher Salhus was born on August 17, 1986, in Marshall, to Kris and Marci Salhus. He grew up in Marshall and Tyler. Kory worked various jobs including McLaughlin & Schultz, Awards Plus, B & H Electronics, Reinhart FoodService and other employers. He was a creative and talented young man. Kory was athletic, he enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and four wheeling. He was also very artistic and enjoyed reading and listening to music. Kory struggled with mental illness and addiction for many years. He tried many times to seek wellness and improve his situation. He attended and completed many treatment programs. Kory died on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN, due to complications from heat exhaustion. He is survived by his parents Marci (and Scott) Dressen of Tyler, Kris Salhus of Marshall, step-brother Ben (and Sam) Dressen of rural Russell, Aunts and Uncles Karin (and Kevin) Evenson of Spicer, Pam Moon of Tyler, Kellie (and Bryan) Julian of Watertown, SD, Lana Norgaard of Rochester, cousings Brittany, Heidi, Courtney, Josh, Jordan, Lexi, Nykell, Chantel, Shelby and great-grandfather Jack McLaughlin of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
