Karen Lee Doom

A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall, MN, for Karen Doom, 82, formerly of Marshall.

Karen Lee (Sullivan) Doom was born on May 2, 1943, in La Crosse, WI, to John and Leora (Crouse) Sullivan. The family lived in a few communities but Karen spent most of her formative years in Mankato. After high school, she attended college in Minneapolis and later worked at a few places in the Twin Cities. Karen was married and became the proud mother of Todd, Tami, Tifani and Travis. Following their divorce, Karen moved to Marshall where she later married James Doom. Their marriage of 43 years blended two families, adding step-children Theresa, Laurie, David and Sherry. Over the years, Karen worked at a few local businesses in Marshall. She loved time spent near the water, whether near local lakes with her family or memorable trips to Hawaii.

Karen died on October 13, 2025, under hospice care in Oregon. She is survived by her children Todd, Tifani, Travis, step-children Theresa, Laurie, David and Sherry, grandchildren Tori, Taylor and Amber, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary, husband Jim, daughter Tami and others.
