Mass of Christian Burial for Julianne âJulieâ Wyffels, 81, of Prior Lake, formerly of Tracy, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016, at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Tracy. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. â 8:00 p.m. with a CCW Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Almlie Horvath Funeral Home in Tracy. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. â 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Maryâs Catholic Church. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy.
Julianne Marie Wyffels was born on April 24, 1935, in Marshall, to Ambrose and Marie (DeBuscher) Girard. She grew up in Marshall and attended grade school at St. Josephâs Academy. On February 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to James âJimâ Wyffels. The couple farmed and raised their family near Tracy. Julie was persistent and was a very hard worker. She obtained her GED in her 40s. She also was a full time caregiver to her husband, Jim, after he suffered a diving injury in the 1970. She loved vegetable gardening, canning, cooking for her family and making cookies for all. In 1974, she and Jim moved off the farm and to Tracy. After Jimâs passing in 2009, Julie moved to Hill Street Place in Marshall. Due to health reasons, she later moved to Keystone Community in Prior Lake and for the last month was living at Ebenezer Ridges in Burnsville.
Julie died on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville. She is survived by her children Steve (and Gayle) Wyffels of Savage, Kathleen (and Roger) Quade of Jeffers, Peggy Wyffels of Plattsmouth, NE, siblings Rita (and George) Laleman of Cottonwood, Ambrose Girard Jr. of Minneota, Barbara (and Bob) Brewers of Marshall, Vincent Girard of St. Michael, MN, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, sister Marian and her husband Gerald Boerboom, sisters-in-law Roberta Girard and Patricia Girard.
