John Anderson Williams

Born to James Von –and- Amelia Williams in Marshall on August 19th, 1918, he attended Marshall High School, the University of MN and MN School-of- Business prior to proudly serving his country in the US Army during WWII. Married to Marion Lorraine Sheldon of Minneapolis, MN on January 11th, 1946, the newlyweds settled in SW MN where John operated LyCo Gas Co. with his brother Jim and later Marshall Land and Loan Company along with many other business adventures before retiring to Lake Miltona in Alexandria, MN, -and later to Sun City West, Arizona. Our husband, dad, grandpa and best friend left us on March the 6th for a better place with our Lord, joining his parents, his sister Kathryn (Cushman/Peer), brother Jim and daughter Karen Ann, all whom preceded him. He is survived, missed and will be dearly remembered always by his bride of 63 years, Marion; son John Arthur and Cindy Bailey, of Glendale, AZ; grandson Benjamin Joseph Williams of Sioux Falls, SD –and- grand daughter Whitey Williams of Rapid City, SD. Friends –and- family are invited to join at a grave-side celebration service of his wonderful 90-year run, -and for reception immediately following.
