Graveside services for Joan Marvis King of West Columbia, TX, formerly of Balaton, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Lakeside Cemetery in Balaton, MN. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Life Remembrance Center, Horvath Funeral Service at 140 2nd St in Balaton. Joan Marvis King departed this life on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at her residence in West Columbia, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) King; parents, Charles S. Rounds and Florence Dell Rounds; one daughter, Rhonda Marie Nichols; three brothers; four sisters and two grandsons. Joan had many names. She was known as mom, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, as well as sister. She was a mother of seven, Sandra Bauer, Dennis King, Gary King, Annette Lugo and husband, Joe, Ricky King and Terry King; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Virgil Rounds. She will be missed greatly by all of us. May she rest in peace.
