James Frederick Christopherson

James Frederick Christopherson was born on November 7, 1959, in Webster, SD, to Orville and Mary (Ronshaugen) Christopherson. He grew up and graduated from High School in Webster. Jim received an animal science degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings in 1982 and in 2005, received his MBA from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. On August 29, 1981, Jim was united in marriage to Denise Schnieder. The couple had two children; David and Stacey. Jim worked as an agricultural banker and throughout his career worked in a variety of communities including Spearfish, SD, Carroll, IA, Watertown, SD, and since 1987, Tracy and Marshall. He enjoyed photography, traveling, golfing and spending time with friends. Jim was most passionate about his family. He died on Friday, January 22, 2010, after a three year battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his wife, Denise, of Marshall, children David of Sioux Falls, SD, Stacey of Wichita, KS, mother Mary of Webster, SD(who passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010), Uncles Jim of East Helena, MT, Howard of Webster, SD, and Steve of Grand Island, NE, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
