Geraldine Marie Rabaey Green, 91, passed on April 20, 2017 at her home in Monrovia California.
Gerry was born February 14, 1926 to Alfred and Irene Rabaey on the family farm outside Taunton Minnesota. She enjoyed the outdoor farm life, 4H and school activities. After High School graduation she went to business school in Minneapolis Minnesota and then worked in communications for the AT&SF Railroad based in Chicago Illinois. She met her husband Robert Green through the railroad and they wed in San Francisco California in 1948 and subsequently lived in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Illinois and California. There followed busy years raising eight children, coordinating family moves and advancing her career. After retirement from Bassett Unified School District, she actively pursued volunteer activities and travel for adventure and pleasure.
Her life is an inspiring example of faith, perseverance, caring and enthusiasm. She enjoyed life to the fullest and never gave up. She is deeply missed; we carry her spirit always in our hearts.
