Cottonwood, MN

A gathering to celebrate the life of Fawn Selbo Palmer, 52, will take place from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Lynd Community Center in Lynd, MN.

Fawn Selbo (Palmer) was born May 5th 1973, in Eureka, California to James and Theresa Palmer. The family moved to Marshall, MN where Fawn graduated high school in 1991. Following graduation, she enrolled in SMSU and worked for Heartland Foods where she met her first husband, Jorge Meza in 1995. The two of them had three children and moved to Minneota, MN where their children grew up and graduated high school. In 2018, Fawn met her current husband, James Selbo and they lived together in Cottonwood, MN.

Fawn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved playing cribbage with her husband, working on puzzles with her daughter and listening to music with family. She loved being a grandmother and watching movies with her grandchildren while eating popcorn on the couch. She was a mother that was always there for her children and looked forward to gathering with family for holidays and birthdays. Fawn was an outspoken, strong woman that loved harder than anyone could imagine. Her children were her greatest pride and joy.

Fawn passed away unexpectedly on April 5th, 2026. In her last moments she was able to save the lives of many through organ donation.

Fawn is survived by her father: James Palmer, her siblings: Leah Palmer and Tim Palmer, her husband: James Selbo and her ex-husband: Jorge Meza, her children: Diego, Emily, Jorge (Alessia), and Nadia (Jayden), her grandchildren: Sabella, Alayna, Katherine and William.

Fawn will be deeply missed by all of those that she touched throughout her life. May God bless her memory.
