Elsie Margaret Blomme

Elsie Margaret DeSleer was born on February 12, 1922, near Walnut Grove, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith. Elsie grew up on a farm near Marshall where she attended District #27 School. She was married to Ray Blomme on December 30, 1942, in Green Valley, MN. The couple farmed and raised their children north of Marshall. In 1954, they moved into Marshall. Elsie went to work for the Marshall School District as a custodian for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, embroidering and playing cards. Elsie died peacefully on Thursday, October 08, 2015, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. She is survived by her children Lorraine Lozinski of Marshall, Joe (and Kathy) Blomme of Red Wing, MN, and JoAnn (and Ivan) Makovec of Minneapolis, MN, granddaughter Cathie (and Brad) Barton of Frisco, TX, brother Frank (and Helen) DeSleer of Marshall, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, son-in-law Ron Lozinski and brothers Albert and Francis in infancy.
