Duane Sarbaum

Duane Louis Sarbaum was born on January 3, 1925, in Marion, ND, to Martin and Mary (DeCramer) Sarbaum. After growing up and attending school, Duane served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his honorable discharge, he was united in marriage to Marian Tomek on February 22, 1949, in Taunton. Duane worked at several jobs including the Taunton Feed Mill, B & H Electronics in Marshall, and oil stations in Taunton and Minneota. Duane enjoyed woodworking, fishing and playing cards. He was most passionate and very involved with the U.S. American Legion. He was also an active member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in TAunton and later St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. Duane died on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. He is survived by his wife, Marian, of Taunton. He was preceded in death by one son, Edward, brother Darwin and sisters Lorraine and Gertrude.
