Donna Mae Nuy

Mass of Christian Burial for Donna Nuy, 78, of Marshall, formerly of Minneota, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Remembrance Center. Interment will follow the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota. A recording of the service will be available at www.horvathfuneralservice.com.

Donna Mae (Hoseck) Nuy was born on August 30, 1946, in Hendricks, MN, to Bert and Verna (Nevins) Hoseck. She attended country school and graduated from Minneota High School. On February 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Phillip Nuy. The couple made their home and raised their family in Minneota. Donna worked as a Dietary Aide at the Minneota Manor for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. Donna moved to Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in November, 2022.

Donna died on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. She is survived by her sons Greg (Cindy) Nuy of Canby and Richard Nuy (Gloria) of Ivanhoe; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings Sandy (Ed) DeVlaminck of Hendricks, Sharon (Doug) VanOverbeke of Lake City and Jenny (Dave) Storlien of Minneota, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Phillip, and brother Alan Hoseck.
