Mass of Christian Burial for Caroline Bot, 59, of Pipestone, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall. Caroline Jeanne Bot was born on February 8, 1963, in Marshall, the 18th out of 19 children born to John and Agnes (Savoie) Bot. She grew up on the family farm north of Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School in 1981. Caroline obtained her Medical Laboratory Technician Degree from the Alexandria Vocational Technical School in 1983. She worked in Litchfield for one year before moving to Pipestone where she continued working as a Medical Lab Technologist for 37 years. She was exceptional at her job. Caroline was a very kind and generous person. She enjoyed gardening and animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. She also enjoyed playing pool and bowling. Caroline was especially fond of her family; nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.
Caroline died on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus after a brief illness. She is survived by her siblings Mary Jo DoVale, Barbara (and Clayton) Stoll, Jacqueline (and John) Robb, Kathleen (and Dick) LaMont, Jeanne Wright, Theresa John, Rosemary Isip, Henry Bot, Bernadette Loughrey, Timothy (and Pam) Bot, Terrence (and JoAnn) Bot, Patrick (and Cindy) Bot, Michelle (and Rick) Fredin, Michael Bot, Christina (and Patrick) Blomme, sister-in-law Mary Kvam, 23 nieces, 25 nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Agnes Bot, brothers Gregory, Paul and (infant) Richard, brothers-in-law Jack Wright and Amando Isip.
