Brent Richard Davidson was born on February 3, 1957, in Sioux Falls, SD, to DeWayne and Bernyce (Poppinga) Davidson. The family farmed north of Parker, SD, until moving to Lennox in 1967. Brent graduated from Lennox High School. He worked as an auto mechanic in Lennox, SD, Willmar, MN, and Omaha, NE before moving to Marshall. In 1998, he opened B & A Sundance Auto Care. Brent earned a reputation as a trusted and gifted mechanic. He was a very generous person and was always willing to lend a hand whether doing after hours auto repair work or other tasks for friends and family in need. Brent recently sold his business and retired. On July 7, 1990, he was united in marriage to Jane Runchey. To this union were born sons William and Brandon. Brent was a member of Shades of the Past Car Club. He was an avid fisherman and also a motorcycle enthusiast. He looked forward to his Sunday afternoon rides and time spent with friends and family. He also was an animal lover, especially his dogs Zelda and Sparky and his cat Boo.
Brent died unexpectedly on Monday, August 08, 2016, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, due to complications from a medical condition. He is survived by his sons William and Brandon and their mother Jane of Marshall, brothers Douglas of Sioux Falls and Terry (and Marlene) of Lennox, SD, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Brenda in infancy.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Lennox, SD, at a future date.
