Bertha H. DeCramer passed away peacefully on April 5, 2015 at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.
Bertha Henritta (Boerboom) DeCramer was born on February 9, 1919, the fifth of nine children to Jacob and Louise (Blomme) Boerboom in Ghent, MN. On September 22, 1943 Bertha married Michael DeCramer at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent, MN. From this union Bertha and Michael were blessed with their three children. After Michael had passed away, Bertha thought she was too old to fall in love again until she had met her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her family, playing every variation of cards that she could, playing Rolle Bolle, going fishing, and thoroughly following the Minnesota Twins. Bertha was a proud member of the Ghent Legions Auxiliary and the St. Eloi Choir for many years.
Bertha is survived by her daughters, Patricia (John) Lenz of Windom and Sherry (Harry) Anderson of Littleton, CO; daughter-in-law, Estelle Brouwer of Mendota Heights; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Vinnie (Putts) Boerboom; sister Geraldine Carrow; sister-in-law Marie Rose Boerboom; and many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael DeCramer; son, Gary DeCramer; parents, Jacob and Louise Boerboom; and brothers, John, Harry, Gus, Bill, Eddie, and Gerald Boerboom.
A special thanks to the staff of the Hill Street Living Facility and Morningside Heights Care Center for their tender care given to Bertha.
Blessed be her memory.
