Bernice Susan (Kack) Antony was born on January 5, 1929, the daughter of William and Cecelia (Weber) Kack of St. Leo, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Leo Catholic Church. She attended a rural country school in St. Leo. On June 8, 1950 Bernice married the love of her life Lawrence Antony at the St. Leo Catholic Church. They moved to Lawrenceâs home farm site, where they farmed until 1991, when they moved to Marshall.
This union was blessed with seven children. When Bernice was not busy caring for her family she enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking her famous monster cookies, and many forms of crafts including knitting, crocheting and ceramics. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends and family, and later in life she liked taking trips to casinos where she enjoyed playing slot machines. Lawrence and Bernice wintered first in Florida and later in Arizona, never leaving until after Christmas so she could celebrate the holidays with her cherished family. She was a gentle, kind and patient mother who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever she could. Bernice was a loving wife and mother who was always there for her family. She will be deeply missed, but always remembered fondly by those who knew her well.
