Mass of Christian Burial for Anne Marcotte, 87, of Marshall will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 4:00-8:00pm, including a CCW Rosary at 4:00pm and a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue from 9:00-10:30am Wednesday at the funeral home prior to services. Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall will follow services on Wednesday.
Anne June (Hoflock) Marcotte blessed this world on June 25, 1927. She was born in Green Valley, MN, the 5th of six children born to Rene and Adrienne Hoflock. On September 2, 1944, George and Anne Marcotte were united in marriage at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. They were happily married for 63 years and blessed with seven beautiful children. George and Anne raised their family on a farm east of Marshall, near Dudley, MN. Anne took great pride in raising her family. Anne always kept a meticulous home and is well known for her famous oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. She also made hundreds of Belgian Cookies every year in celebration of her Belgian heritage, as Anne was 100% Belgian. Anne greatly enjoyed cooking, cleaning and playing cards, especially 500 and Pepper. In 2001, the couple moved from the farm site to a beautiful home within Marshall. Anne was welcomed home to heaven on Thursday, June 4, 2015. She passed away at Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall.
Anne is survived by her children Carole (and Ed) Charbonneau of Lino Lakes, MN, Ken (and Faye) Marcotte of Granger, IN, Diane Marcotte of St. Cloud, MN, Mike (and Jane) Marcotte of Chardon, OH, Michelle (and John) Full of Marshall, MN, Dean (and Brenda) Marcotte of Kandiyohi, MN, and son-in-law Bob Domek of St. Cloud. She also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and numerous friends. Anne was welcomed home by her husband George, daughter Jane, grandson Levi, parents and five siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Marshall Senior Center, Prairie Home Hospice House of Marshall or the Holy Redeemer Foundation.
