On April 23, 1946, she was married to Conrad Prairie at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. The couple moved to Marshall where they raised their family. Agnes worked for J.C. Penny’s for 33 years. She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and, for many years, was the coordinator of the funeral lunch committee. Agnes loved traveling, gardening and bird watching. She was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed making apple pie bars and other treats for her grandchildren. Agnes died on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. She is survived by her children Gordon (and Judy) Prairie of Jerome, ID, Galen (and Nancy) Prairie of Cottonwood, Kay (and David) Johnson of Twin Falls, ID, Jeannine (and Larry) Anderson of Jacksonville, FL, grandchildren Troy, Tina, Travis, Zebulon, Melia, Jeremy, Joey, Angie, Dawn and Christen, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. My deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. I still hold many good memories of those days growing up next door. Agnes remains in my hearts as a sweet and loving mother.
